Key Responsibilities – MedSpa Setting
Advanced Aesthetician Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth skin assessments to create personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals.
Perform a range of advanced aesthetic treatments, including:
Microneedling (with or without PRP)
Chemical peels
HydraFacials
Dermaplaning
LED light therapy
Microdermabrasion
Radiofrequency or ultrasound-based skin tightening
Assist with laser and light-based treatments (e.g., hair removal, IPL, skin resurfacing), if certified.
Educate clients on skincare regimens, product recommendations, and post-treatment care.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage return visits and product sales.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment room in accordance with state board and health regulations.
Document treatment outcomes, client feedback, and before/after photos in the client record management system.
Attend ongoing training to stay current on new techniques, technologies, and trends in medical aesthetics.
Phlebotomy Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture for procedures requiring blood collection, such as:
PRP facials (vampire facials)
PRP for hair restoration
PRP injections for skin rejuvenation
Process and prepare PRP using centrifuge equipment and sterile technique.
Ensure proper sample labeling, tracking, and handling to maintain safety and efficacy.
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during or post blood draw and respond accordingly.
Sanitize and maintain all phlebotomy tools and equipment per clinic protocols.
Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulations for all client and procedural interactions.
