WAX APPOINTMENTS PRE-WAX
Do not apply lotion, self tanner, body spray, deodorant, or any other topical creams in the area to be waxed. Hair length ideally is 1/4 to 1/2 inch of growth. Schedule your wax 2-3 days before beach and sunbathing. Avoid heat like tanning beds, hot tubs, and saunas. Exfoliate the area gently 24 hours before waxing to help remove dead skin cells and allow for a cleaner wax. Wear Loose comfortable clothing to prevent irritation after waxing.
POST-WAX
Heightened sensitivity may be experienced in the waxed area for the next 24-48 hours. Avoid heat like tanning, sun bathing, hot tubs, or saunas for 48 hours after treatment. No hot baths or exercise for at least 2 hours following treatment. Apply a cold compress to sooth the skin if you experience sensitivity or irritation after your treatment. Exfoliate daily 48 hours post treatment. If your skin is sensitive body waxing may result in minor breakouts

MICRONEEDLING
Pre-Treatment: Avoid sun exposure/burns 24 hours prior to procedure. Discontinue use of retinoids 24 hours prior to procedure. Allow at least 24 hours after autoimmune therapies before procedure. Wait six months following isotretinonin (Retinol) use before procedure.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
PRE-TREATMENT

24 hours before: Shave treatment area 4 weeks before: Do not wax, tweeze, bleach, or use hair removal creams or electrolysis on treatment area. These activities can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure. If unavoidable, use minimum SPF 30. Discontinue tanning (includes beds, self-tanning creams and sprays)
DAY OF LASER TREATMENT
Remove any lotions, make-up and deodorants prior to treatment Wear loose fitting clothing that will leave the treatment area exposed and easily accessible for treatment. Tight or rough clothing may cause you to feel uncomfortable if the skin becomes sensitive after treatment. You may feel a slight pricking or stinging. Some people compare the feeling to a rubber band snapping onto the skin. For your comfort, a topical numbing cream is available for purchase. You must arrive 30 minutes prior to treatment time in order for it to be applied and to take effect.
LASER POST-TREATMENT

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and creams until your treatments are completed Avoid hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, swimming and strenuous sports for 2-3 days followingtreatment, or until any redness, crusting, or blisters have resolved If crusting develops, it should fall off naturally. Please do not pick or scratch. Do not wax, tweeze, bleach, or use hair removal creams or electrolysis on treatment area until all treatments are completed Do not shave treated area for 1 to 3 days post-treatment if crusting or blistering occurs Apply a minimum SPF 30 broad spectrum sunscreen Treated area may appear red, irritated and swollen (like sunburn). Apply ice packs or cold aloe vera to soothe. You may experience “hair shedding” the first few days after treatment which is sometimes mistaken for hair growth Can apply makeup, lotion, resume shaving and apply skincare products to treatment area as early as the next day as long as the skin is not broken and there is no extended redness, blistering or scabbing. Thoroughly remove makeup and creams gently with a soft, clean cloth and mild cleanser. Pat to dry. The treated area is very delicate and should be treated with care. Excess rubbing can open the area and may lead to scarring. If scabbing, blistering or signs of infection occur, please contact provider

DAY OF APPOINTMENT

Come to your appointment with a clean treatment area. For facial services remove all makeup of area to be treated.
POST-TREATMENT
You may have a mild sunburn(burning) sensation following the treatment, that is usually gone within a few hours. Skin redness is normal and may last a few days. There may be a slight amount of swelling. Crusting or blistering is uncommon and not serious. Pigmented areas may begin to flake after a few days. Cold compresses may be useful for the first 24 hours. Your skin will be fragile for 2-3 days. Use gentle cleansers, do not rub the skin and avoid hot water during this time. Do not use your Clarisonic or a loofah for one week. Do not use any retinoids, tretinoins, alpha or beta hydroxy products, vitamin C products, scrub, exfoliate, or have chemical peels performed on the areas treated for one week. Makeup can be applied immediately on unbroken skin. Avoid the sun and use sunblock. Avoid excessive heat or friction to the treated area (heavy exercise, saunas). Sun spots and age spots will DARKEN with the BBL treatments before they begin to respond and resolve. This is expected and a normal part of the BBL process. Do not pick these spots once they become dry. They will lift and fall off on their own. Please contact us as soon as possible if you experience any blistering or increase pain. Contact us if you are concerned about infection. If any pigment changes are bothersome or persist beyond 4 weeks.
