What Is A Trigger Point Injection (TPI)?

Trigger Point Injections (TPI) is a great option for treating patients experiencing muscle pain. TPI is a quick injection to help reduce pain in the muscle that contains trigger points, or knots of the muscle that form when they cannot relax. The provider here at Sasse Wellness Medspa uses Lidocaine to dissipate the pain. Ultrasound imaging is sometimes used to guide the injection.

How Long Does TPI Last?

The benefits of Trigger Point Injections can last between a few days and months depending on the level of pain the patient is experiencing. Many patients feel relief almost instantly and will last a minimum of two weeks. We recommend purchasing a package to feel the maximum amount of relief with a plan in place. Results may vary per patient.
